Parm-Satkaryog Sadh Sangat Ji

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki fateh

The next Diwan is our regular Diwan, and Kirtan shall be by Bhai Sahib and Sadh Sangat.

As we are aware, the Vaisakhi Gurpurb is approaching soon, and there is great joy in everyone’s heart for what blessings Satguru Sahib Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji bestowed upon suffering humanity. On this occasion, we have tradition of donation food to London’s needy and underprevileged residents. This year again we appeal to Guru Piareys to donate liberally and bring non-perishable food items to Gurdwara Sahib at your convenience. Bhai Amrik Singh Ji is usually there all 7 days but please call and confirm with him that he is there before you bring items during week days. His number is the usual Gurdwara Sahib number: 519-452-3373. We shall donate all the donated food on Vaisakhi weekend April, 13, 14, 15, 2007.

Please stay tunes for more news as we progress towards the big event.

On the coming Diwan of April 1, 2007, the Langar Seva is by family of S. Kewal Singh Ji Kang. They request all Sadh Sangat to join them on this occasion.

March 4, Diwan Program

Respected Gurmukh Premi Jano:

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

On Sunday, March 4, 2007, we have our regular Diwan. As Gurmukh sadh Sangat Ji is aware that the world is celebrating International Women’s Day on March 8, 2007. On this occasion we remember Dhan Dhan Satguru Nanak Dev ji’s most beautiful message to the suffering humanity that WOMEN DESERVES GREAT RESPECT instead of inhuman treatment metted out to her out of shear ignorance, and arrogance. Guru Ji brought to focus the fact thatwomen have the most pivotal role in our life and without her there would not exist any world that some ignorant people seem to enjoy and show hatred and ridicule to the women. Meharban Satguru ji broke the chains of slavery by giving us the gift of Sabad in Raag Asaa: Bhandd Jammieh Bhand nimhieh BHand Mangan Viahu…Su keon mandaa aakhyieh jitt jammeh rajaan!!…

In this spirit of IWD celebrations, our member Bhai Bhupinder Singh Ji shall address the Sangat and talk about contributions of women in Sikh history. Sangat may remember that last year Bhai Bhupinder Singh Ji focused on this issue as well and put on an very impressive display of paintings in Langar hall. He is planning to do the same and also given a special lesson to our youth on this topic on this Sunday March 4.

Guru Piarey Ji should also note that Rt. Hon. Member Parliament Irene Mathyssen is going to visit our Gurdwara Sahib on this Sunday and address the Sangat for few minutes around 12:00 PM. Sangat is requested to think and prepare questions that can be directed to the Member Parliament. This is great opportunity for us to experience democracy in action. It is of great importance for Sikhs to realize that Miri and Piri, i.e. the temporal domain and spiritual domain go hand in hand in our life right from the times of Satguru Nanak Patishah ji and again embedded in our history by Satguru Hargobind Sahib ji by wearing the two swords of MIRI and PIRI. Infact this is the reason that Sikhs are the most active minority participants in political life of this great country we call our homw – CANADA. Guess how many Sikh MP’s we have in our parliament today? Please do bring questions that concern us all in any way.

Langar is by Bhai Gurjit Singh ji and his family. They are going to have Ardas in memory of his father. Kirtan is by BHai Amrik Singh Ji and Jatha.
