Waheguru Ji ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki Fateh

Celebrations of Diwali on Friday November 9 went very well. Bandi-Chhor Satguru Hargobind Sahib ji delivered 52 hill Rajas from imprisonment on this day, signifying our own deliverance from cycle of birth and death. Just as thos Rajas were inflicted with bondage of fetters to their feet, we are caight up in the web of attachments and desires. just as their bodies were full of filth and hair with lice, we are also smeared with filth of janam janam Ki mal, and we have lice of slander and jealousies in our minds. Satguru ji, with infinite mercy upon this human race, have provided us with Naam-Daan-Ishnaan and gave us permanant hope to unite back with our Waheguruji. Bhai sahib Amrik singh ji sang the sabad: Deewali di raat deevay baliyan|| Taray jaan sanaat ambar bhalyan||Phullan di bagaat chun chun bhalian||…Gurmukh Sukh-phal daat, Sabad samalyan|| Indicating the transitory nature of the lights of Diwali, Stars breaking apart and fall of night, the whithering of beautiful flowers…except the permanant nature of Sabad given to us by satguru Ji, a reminder that all shall perish but Waheguruji’s shabd shall be our protector and ever-existing companion. All else is just in the process of coming and going. Guru Pireys prepared langar and Sangat was absolutely in Charhdi kala and all participated well. Children played with fire crackers/Phull-Jharhyiaan etc. Thanks to all who contributed towards the success of this historical occasion.

On Sunday November 11, S Jagdev Singh Bal and family is celebrating the Barsi of their father. In the memory of departed soul the family shall have Sukhmani Sahib Paath from 8:30 Am till 10 AM. All Sangat is invited to participate.

Clean-up Seva and changing of lights shall be conducted in the Diwan hall under the directions of S. Rattan Singh Ji Chahal. All Sevadaars are requested to contact S. Rattan Singh ji after Diwan on Sunday. This is essential task to be completed before celebrations of two Gurpurab’s coming.

Dhann Dhann Satguru Nanak dev Ji’s Parkash diwas celebrations start on November 23 and end on Sunday November 25. Satguru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s Shaheedi diwas is on November 29,30 and Dec 1. Guru Piareys are requested to come and participate in all festivities.

The nominations for next years Executive committee are open till November 23 midnight. The active members who were in good standing on October 1, 2007 are eligible to be nominated. Please contact any of the Committee members to know the details and obtain the forms.
